What
approved means.

§ Standard and scope

An approved product has been reviewed and approved by the international federation for use in official ITF Taekwon-Do competitions. It is not a decorative label: it is the condition for a competitor to step into the ring with that equipment.

At GRANMARC, approval does not depend on the range. Primus, Invictus, High Pro and Sparring meet the same requirement; what changes between them is the material and the manufacturing process, not the permitted use.

  1. A

    Design

Each piece is developed for the regulation impact zones: hands, feet and head.

  2. B

    Made in Argentina

Produced in Argentina, with batch control of materials, seams and finishes.

  3. C

    Laboratory test

The protective gear underwent impact absorption tests at an independent laboratory.

  4. D

    ITF approval

The products are approved with the ITF Approved seal.

Glove test · Report LEA 04-1407/08

Gloves: far below the damage threshold.

Same pendulum and same standard head, this time with the glove fitted on the impact fist. The acceleration reaching the head is measured and compared with 350 g in 2.4 ms, the value that can statistically cause brain damage.

Sparring · sample 4 **38.1 g
Damage threshold (reference)350 g

Average of 4 impacts per sample; the first one is discarded as the glove settles on the fist.

* Tested without wrist fastening; the laboratory considers it an acceptable determination.

** Due to finger placement, it could not be mounted under the same conditions.

“Having performed the predicted trials and obtaining, in all cases with glove, impact energies very inferior to the ones that may produce damage, the object of the trial is achieved.”
